JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Human Resources Representative will work collaboratively with the members of the human resources department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Computing benefits using Excel functions, interpret policies and ensure consistency in application. Analyzing data and follow work processes to completion. Developing personal expertise in the use of various HR applications necessary to capitalize on the strengths and advantage of the Human Resources systems and processes. Ensuring data integrity and efficient processing of HR data. Maintaining confidentiality and appropriate usage of personnel data in line with the Company’s Data Privacy policy.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any of the Social Sciences, Sciences or Humanities with Second Class Upper Division. Applicants with Second Class Lower Division who possess a Master’s degree in Industrial & Labour Relations (MILR), Industrial Relations & Personnel Management (IRPM) or Business Administration (MBA) will be considered.
Membership of CIPM, SHRM or CIPD and certification from any of these professional bodies will be an additional advantage.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools
Good planning and organizing skills
Effective communication skills
Excellent Interpersonal skills

EXPERIENCE

VACANCY IN EMTS-ETISALAT: FINANCE/LEGAL & TEMPORARY IT SUPORT OFFICERS.

Due to expansion in its operations, Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services (trading as Etisalat Nigeria) desires to urgently fill the following vacant positions in the FINANCE/LEGAL DEPARTMENTS AND TEMPORARY IT SUPPORT OFFICERS.


1. POSITION: Specialist, Credit Control.

Reports to: Manager Billing & Credit Control
WORK BASE AREA: Lagos

CORE PURPOSE:
Responsible For Post-paid Management and Credit Control.

Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):
Tactical:

Implement policies and procedures for management of Post-paid customers to ensure continuous effectiveness and efficiency in service delivery.

Accounting for all receivables on Post-paid customers transaction through prompt production and issuance of Post-paid bills.

Manages Post-paid customer’s accounts by ensuring regular and proper update and reconciliation of invoices and payment.

Ensure proper management of customer’s ageing by reducing the incidence for provision for bad and doubtful debt.

Credit vetting and debt management.

Operational:

Generation of Monthly Bill Run Report.

Reconciliation of all Post-paid customer’s accounts to be done on a monthly basis and as at when required from time to time.

Liaise with credit Vetting Bureau and verify payments.

Generate Insurance Schedule of Post-paid debts.

Resolution of Post-paid queries escalated by shops.

Provide Post-paid support to Corporate, customer Care and Back – Office.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Requirements:

First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

Four (4) to Six (6) years work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

2. POSITION: Manager, Contracts Administration.

Reports to: Head Commercial Legal.

WORK BASE AREA: Lagos

CORE PURPOSE:

Serve as a point of legal advice on local and international commercial contract and oversee the execution and administration of all EMTS contracts.

Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):
Tactical

Advise EMTS on legal matters relating to corporate and project finance contracts and assist departments in the closure of financial transactions to the best interest of EMTS.

Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the unit’s activities.

Assist in continuously reviewing the unit/team’s activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.

Assist in identifying required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit/ function’s strategy.

Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Operational

Prepare the scope of work, specifications, and conditions for new contracts, lead negotiation
strategies and award new contracts.

Manage daily activities of the contracts group, including component processes such as legal language, scope of work, budget/payment schedule, and assembly of final contract packages for various projects in EMTS.

Conduct on-site visits to contractors to examine billings, fiscal data, and eligibility determinations for compliance with contractual terms and departmental/divisional policies.

Oversee the operation and activities of monitoring contract performance, including developing and tracking key metrics.

Liaise with the Dispute Resolution unit to investigate and resolve discrepancies, complaints, and disputes by negotiating settlement agreements or terminating contracts where necessary.

Initiate and oversee special studies or surveys to assess consumer and program outcomes for evaluation; prepare and monitor regular status reports regarding trial-specific contract information.

Define, establish and implement quality control procedures on contract documentation, storage and follow up.

Review and analyze legislation related to procurement, including tracking legislative bills and assisting with bill analysis.

Serve as the principal contract liaison between EMTS and agency management, contractors, the legislature, and other customers.

Assist in implementing the unit’s work programs and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.

Assist in planning and managing the human and material resources of the unit to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity.

Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.

Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.

Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the unit/function.

Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Commercial.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Commercial.


Requirements:

First degree in Law.

Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

Five (5) to nine (9) years work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

3. POSITION: Temporary IT User/Support Officer.

Reports to: Regional IT Support Specialist / Manager IT User Support.

WORK BASE AREAS: Lagos; Ibadan; Abuja; Jos; Maiduguri; Kano; Kaduna; Port Harcourt; Warri/Benin; Enugu.

CORE PURPOSE:

Assist in the resolution of first level IT related hardware, software and network issues in the stipulated Etisalat locations.

Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):

Operational

OPERATIONAL

Assist in providing general first level technical support to end users organization-wide.

Assist in resolving system issues and attending to service requests in line with agreed SLAs.

Interact and consult with internal and external customers to manage customer satisfaction.

Assist in developing and maintaining an accurate database of historical information about previous user issues.

Collate and prepare appropriate daily, weekly and monthly activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager, User Support.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, User Support.


Requirements:

First degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Minimum of one (1) year IT support experience.

Knowledge of MS Windows 2000, XP and Office 200/XP and MS Outlook 2007 support.

Good Interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and analysis. Three months renewable contract.

CONTRACT / TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:

Willingness to embark on local travels at short notice.

3 months renewable contract.

Liaising with a broad range of organizations including areas like race relations, gender, disability, religion, age, health and safety.

Recruiting staff which includes creating and developing job descriptions, providing support in preparing advertisements, screening application forms, short-listing the candidates, interviewing and selecting them.

Developing HR policies on issues like working conditions, equal opportunities, performance, management, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.

Interpreting and notifying employees on employment legislation.
